What is Mountain Insurance?

The Mountain Insurance policy is designed to cover Bulgarian and foreign citizens while practicing sports or recreational activities in the mountains. Insured persons must be in good health and aged 1 to 69 years.

Coverage of the Insurance:

• The insurance is issued as a policy and can be individual or group.

• For group insurance, a list of insured persons is applied and forms an integral part of the policy.

• Insured persons must be in good health and must not travel in the mountains against a doctor’s advice.

Territorial Coverage:

• The insurance coverage is valid only within the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Insurance Period:

• The insurance is valid for the period specified in the policy.

• The policy takes effect from the hour and date indicated as the start, provided the insurance premium has been paid, and expires at 24:00 on the end date or another time specified in the policy.

Insurance Premium:

• The premium is determined according to the insurer’s rate applicable on the date of policy issuance.

• The insurance premium is paid once at the time of policy issuance.
